Inbox.lv Mobile: Logout button, silent mode and other changes for Android users

In the last days of the outgoing year 2017, another update of the inbox.lv mobile application for phones running the Android operating system has been released. Version 6.3.51 brings not only technical improvements to the application’s performance, but also some minor changes to the design.

First of all, note the new location of the logout button. Previously the button was located in the drop-down menu on the right, but in the new version it has been moved to the left-hand menu – below the information about all authorised users, at the very end of the list after the item “Add new account”. The options “Create new folder” and “Mark all as read” have been moved to the main menu on the right.

To create a new folder, you will now need to open the folder list, then press and briefly hold on the “Inbox” folder. After a few seconds a window will open automatically with the option “Create new folder”.

To mark all messages as read, open the folder list, select the required folder, press and hold it. After a few seconds a window will open on the screen, where one of the options will be “Mark as read”. In the mobile app, the available actions for NON-system folders are “Rename” or “Delete folder”. Be careful! Folders are deleted immediately without going to the “Trash”, so they cannot be restored.

Another interesting new feature that deserves special attention is the notification silent mode, which by default is enabled from 22:00 to 7:00. This means that the sound alert for new messages will be turned off during this period – you will only see an icon with a notification on the screen, but the sound will no longer disturb you at night. Of course, this is only the recommended setting; if necessary, every user can change this time period or turn it off completely.

Finally, we would like to add that the inbox.lv mobile application now supports the Oreo operating system (Android 8.0). To make the transition to this platform possible, major technical changes were made, and version 6.3.51 of the application has been successfully released to users. We are currently preparing the next improvements for release, one of which is Android 8.1 support.
