“Inbox” on the way to the goal of becoming a “paperless” office

As an ancient Native American saying goes, we do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children. That is exactly why “Inbox”, pursuing a responsible environmental policy, will switch completely to electronic invoices already this month.

“We have set ourselves several green goals, and one of them is to become a “paperless” office. Moving away from sending paper invoices to our customers will certainly be an important step towards achieving these goals,” believes Andris Griķis, Chairman of the Board of SIA “Inbokss”.

Already now, the paper used at “Inbox” is stored in special waste paper containers and handed over for recycling to the “Līgatne” paper mill.

And finally, a few interesting facts:

  • If paper is sorted separately from other household waste, the volume of waste will shrink almost by half,
  • Paper makes up almost 40% of all household waste,
  • It takes 17 trees to produce 1 tonne of paper,
  • About 90 thousand sheets of paper can be produced from one tree, while every internet user prints an average of 28 sheets every day… (there are about 3 billion internet users in the world).

Let’s protect the environment together!
