It has been 10 years since Inbox.lv presented its first mobile app for Android phones. At the time it was something of an innovation, and today it is used daily by 283 thousand users. Over 10 years the Inbox.lv app has been downloaded on Google Play more than 1.7 million times, making it the most downloaded app in Latvia.
“Yes, we were not pioneers on a global scale, as Google and other global leaders had already presented their first apps by then, but on a European scale we were among the first,” recalls Andrejs Čelnovs, Head of the Technical Department at Inbox.lv.
Since its launch, more than 600 improvements have been made to the app. “We release updates almost every two weeks, including ever new features. Our mobile app runs on both older and the very latest Android phones. Moreover, the nature of Android is such that every phone model can have its own peculiarities, so the Inbox.lv Technical Department constantly monitors the situation to ensure that Inbox.lv services are available to all users,” explains Andrejs Čelnovs.
The Inbox.lv mobile app for Android phones is available in 10 languages: Latvian, English, Russian, German, Spanish, Lithuanian, Estonian, Bengali, Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Bahasa (Indonesian).
Initially the Inbox.lv mobile app was available only for Android phones, but a little later a version for iPhone users was also created.
