Inbox.lv mobilā lietotne Android telefoniem ir pieejama 10 valodās: latviešu, angļu, krievu, vācu, spāņu, lietuviešu, igauņu, bengāliešu (bengali), pendžabi (punjabi-gurmukhi) un bahasa (Indonēzijas) valodā.

Sākotnēji Inbox.lv mobilā lietotne bija pieejama tikai Android telefoniem, bet nedaudz vēlāk tika izveidota arī iPhone lietotājiem.

The first new feature in our application changes the status of the message to “Read” or “Unread” using the swipe from the left side.

The second is the instant message deletion using the swipe from the right side. This functionality in the new version of the application has a new look, it became brighter and easier to use. But the time counter until the end of the letter deletion, which previously could be seen next to the Delete button, was completely modified and transformed into a new functionality called “Undo Delete”.

The ability to restore a message immediately after deletion has been introduced because we understand that often work with inbox.lv mobile app occurs in a “fast mode”. Reading, browsing and sorting a flow of mail, means that users often get lost in their activities and may accidentally delete important messages. So, in order not to spend extra time searching and restoring accidentally deleted letters from the Trash, you can always quickly and conveniently return the letter back.

The “Undo” feature will be displayed in a pop-up window at the bottom of the screen immediately after deleting any message. It should be noted that this option restores only to the last deleted message. If messages are deleted one by one, then only the last one will be restored. But if several messages were marked in the list and the “Delete” button was pressed for all of them, the “Undo” will return all previously deleted messages back to the folder.

We have also added new icons. Old arrows for displaying the status of the letter were replaced by colored dots. Unread messages are marked with a blue dot, answered with green and forwarded with purple.

This year’s most significant innovations to Android phone users – mobile avatars rendering in mobile application and Inbox Calendar sync to the phone’s built-in calendar. At the same time – our attention was also focused on stabilizing application’s work in various mobile devices, especially on Xiaomi phones, in which before using our app you need to take additional actions on your phone. In this year, great efforts have been devoted to synchronization, which, as mentioned above, especially necessary for Inbox Calendar.

This year’s most significant innovations to iOS phone users is new auto-complete functionality which helps you to quickly enter the recipient’s e-mail address and also allows you to share video files using the mobile app. Once again, iOS system updates gave us new surprises, but thanks to the talented Inbox app developer’s team, application work on the iOS 10 was restored in a very short period of time.

Also, 5.1.15 version has a brand new functionality. In the settings of the mobile app there is now a Gravatar feature option.

Gravatar is a globally recognized avatar which is stored at special server and follows your electronic address anywhere. To use it you have to register at one of the services representing gravatar (for example, gravatar.com), to add your avatar to your e-mail address – and your personal «logo» will be displayed next to your e-mail address in forums, comments, blogs as well as in mobile app Inbox.lv.

Of course, not all websites and applications support gravatar feature so far but their numbers are growing every day. If you are an active Internet user then gravatar will help to individualize you among other participants of forums and blogs, your general recognizability in the worldwide web will increase because users definitely perceive greater part of information visually.

In Inbox.lv mobile app there are several variants of gravatar visual display next to received e-mails – it is possible to display only individual images or you can choose standard ones out of the offered list. Cute monsters and other funny characters are selected automatically for those who still don’t have a personalized gravatar. Try and explore it!

Unlike usual web registration mobile version has three additional fields. It is caused by necessity to enter all data, including mandatory information from User’s profile. As to the rest, the form and the registration process fully repeat the web version. After the form has been successfully completed, new mail address at Inbox.lv portal is created and available for work right after clicking «Create» button.

At the present time this functionality is developed not only for users of Android OS based phones but for iOs as well.

From now on users can individually change theme colour of the mobile version. Wide choice of various colour palettes is available in the app settings. Everybody bored with grey shades can choose “the” colour that is most appropriate for comfortable work or just matching the up-to-the-minute mood.

Another new feature is “Mark all emails as read” button in the menu. This functionality is useful for those who don’t want to waste their time on searching, opening and reading every new email in the folder. All new emails in the selected folder are marked as read after this button has been pressed. The operation may take some time but it doesn’t block working with the app.

One more significant change – the vivid, modern, handy and equally simple design. This improved user interface is based on standards of Material Design – the new visual design introduced in Android 5.0 version.

Among these numerous visual changes the following basic moments can be highlighted:

• “Write an email” button visualized as an envelope with plus sign icon has been moved to the right lower corner.
• After pressing Menu icon at the left upper corner a panel with standard email folders unfolds – with all system folders in the beginning and user’s folders after them. Here you can also manage your account – to switch between the entries and to add new ones.
• Search, filters, deletion, “mark as”, “move to” and other options are placed in the upper right corner.
• In the email viewing mode a separate “Answer” arrow-shaped button has been added in the upper right corner. All other functions – “Delete”, “Move to”, “Reply to all”, “Forward”, “Forward as attachment” and “Show the source” – have been grouped in the nearby menu.
• At the upper right corner, on the form for writing a new email you can see a new air-plane shaped icon that has replaced previously used button “Send”. To the right of it there is a well-known Paperclip for quick attachment of files to your email. Such functions as “Add CC/BCC” and “Delay sending” are now hidden in the nearby menu.

Some of these innovations might probably be improved even more – use the feedback form in the app settings to send your comments and suggestions. Please note that now you have an option to send attached files with the feedback form as well. Filters in your mailbox will automatically sort incoming mail into folders. Earlier, notifications of new messages were applied only to “Inbox” folder, starting with version 4.3.23. this functionality will be available for all folders. Simply put – notifications will work for all new messages, regardless of their placement in the mailbox.

The highlight of 4.3.23. version certainly is the possibility to change the default ringtone for notifications to any other tone in the application settings.

Another new feature, which for now is only available in a mobile application (not available in the web version) – the ability to postpone sending a message until specific time. When You create a new message, reply or forward, select “Postpone sending” in the left menu and set the time when this letter must be sent to the recipient. Then press “Send” and your letter will be in the queue of outgoing messages.

Other small changes:

• forward the message as .eml attachment,
• display the number of recipients added when creating a message,
• file attachments in the Feedback form,
• opportunity to view Message source,
• fixed problem when closing the application via “Back” button,
• contacts synchronization.
