In some cases, when installing the Inbox.lv mobile e-mail application obtained from the Play Market store, you may encounter the following message: “Your device isn’t compatible with this version.”
This message may be displayed because in October of this year SIA “Inbokss” discontinued the Inbox.lv mobile mail application on devices running Android OS 4.2.2 and older versions. These changes will not affect the application already installed – it will work as before, only it will not be possible to download updates. If you nevertheless decide to update this version of the application, please note that when you reinstall the Inbox.lv application, the new installation will automatically check the version of your phone’s operating system, and if it is lower than or equal to Android OS 4.2.2, unfortunately the installation will not be possible.
We would like to note that this decision was made in connection with the introduction of new methods to raise the level of user security; it should also be noted that integrating new features and improvements into an old operating system version is becoming increasingly difficult and sometimes even impossible. But don’t be disappointed – the Inbox.lv mobile application continues to evolve. At present the main focus is on Android OS versions 7.0, 7.1 and also 8.0. It must be said that every update brings something new – sometimes not so noticeable to users, but important in terms of reliability, stability and security.
If the Inbox.lv application is not available for your phone, we recommend checking and updating your Android operating system. After updating, please also update the Inbox.lv app and preferably configure it so that future updates are installed automatically.
If updating the system is not possible, try to set up a mail client so that you can work with your mailbox on your phone. Remember that in addition to the well-known POP3, the IMAP protocol is also available to all Inbox.lv users.
