Inbox.lv supports truthful euro introduction

detsember 12,2013

Many of us make a promise to start a new life from the first day of new year. Certainly everyone puts in that promise something of their own, but as of January 1, 2014 all residents of Latvia, whether they like it or not, will at least start a new financial life!

Residents worry about the fact that the introduction of the Euro could lead to higher prices, and their concern is clear and understandable. Although researches and experience of other countries show that the impact on the price increase is only 0.2-0.3%, the inhabitants of our country have an old habit of counting on a healthy skepticism. And rightly so! This is why the «Godīgs Eiro ieviesējs» (Honest Euro Introducer) initiative was organized.

Businesses that supported this initiative, guarantee that they will not use the euro introduction as a reason for increasing prices for their products or services.

Inbox.lv portal also has a number of paid services, such as mailbox with additional privileges Inbox Mail+ or Inbox Files+ – additional storage volume files, and, of course, advertising solutions. As a major Latvian company, we support fair and transparent business practices. For that very reason we have also become participants of the www.godigseiroieviesejs.lv project.

All project participants, including Inbox.lv, undertake to display prices in both euros and lats on all goods and services up to July 30, 2014, as well as to ensure fair conversion at the official exchange rate of 1 EUR = 0.702804 LVL.

In addition, the stores participating in the initiative will be marked with «Godīgs Eiro ievesējs» stickers. Inbox.lv has also put the logo of the project on the pages with additional (paid) services offer. Increasing the number of initiative’s partners allows us to hope that the transition to the euro for the inhabitants of Latvia will be as calm as possible. Full list of companies that have joined this initiative can be found here.
